Everything changed when Otama saw the flames and thought of Ace because Luffy really is carrying that legacy for her now

Hearing that Jack actually survived that hit from Zunesha is terrifying because it means the Straw Hats are in for a massive fight against Kaido soon

I finally felt that real Luffy anger when he saw the marks on Otama and decided to end Holdem in one shot because the visuals on that Red Hawk were beautiful to watch, and the way they connected the fire to her memories of Ace just made the whole moment feel so much more important for the Wano arc

It made my blood boil to see those marks on Otama's cheeks and Luffy using Red Hawk to avenge her was a perfect way to shut Holdem up

I couldn't stop thinking about Ace when the fire from Red Hawk showed up and seeing Otama realize the connection was the best part of the whole week

The jump into the sky to save Otama while unleashing all that fire was such a satisfying way to end Holdem's bullying

The beginning dragged so much that the actual fight felt like it took forever to start

My patience was seriously wearing thin through that plodding first half, I won't lie. But then *bam*, Luffy's Red Hawk completely exploded onto the scene, and I instantly remembered why I stick with this show, it was totally worth the slow build-up!

Zoro and Okiku fighting side by side was a great way to show how strong she actually is and he clearly respects her as a swordsman

The pacing is still a major problem for this show, but seeing Law and Hawkins getting ready for their own clash kept things interesting while Luffy was fighting

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting firmly in the early stretch of the Wano Country arc, Episode 905 follows directly from Episode 904's infiltration of Bakura Town and the crew's discovery of the oppression plaguing its people. This installment escalates the crew's first major direct conflict with Wano's power structure, transforming tension into action. The fallout from this confrontation sets critical dominoes in motion for the broader resistance storyline that defines the arc going forward.
