Those poor villagers and their poisoned water, it just makes my blood boil thinking about Holdem causing all that misery. I'm practically counting down the seconds until Luffy gets his hands on him, he's just gotta deliver a satisfying punch to that guy's face.

Holdem is such a weird design with that lion on his stomach but he actually seems strong and watching him lift Urashima showed he is going to be a problem for the crew

You spend half the episode watching the same scenes from last week and it is getting annoying even with the cool sword fights and Zoro acting like a total weirdo with his blades

Zoro putting the sword in his mouth and striking that pose is exactly why he is a fan favorite and the way the colors pop during the fights is a massive step up for the show

You should wait for the manga or turn the speed up because that recap was massive and watching Holdem lift that giant dude took way too long even if the art is pretty to look at

Wano looks incredible even if the recap takes forever and seeing Luffy get that mad for Otama makes the wait worth it for me since he is not playing around

That Red Hawk punch hit me hard because it felt like Ace was right there helping Luffy save Otama from that lion freak

Luffy's rage was something else when he saw what that weird lion guy did to Otama; I got chills watching the animation amp up like that. My heart just broke for her, and it makes me remember how he always goes all out for the kids and his nakama, ready to unleash pure chaos.

My excitement for this arc is kinda getting chipped away because even though the Wano art is stunning, these endless recaps and scenes getting stretched thin are seriously testing my patience. Thank goodness Luffy completely lost his cool over what happened to Otama though; that righteous anger always gets me, and it made me forget my pacing gripes for a bit.

Okiku has such a smooth fighting style and that first slice she did was so sharp and it was great seeing her finally get into the action against those goons

Speed has the most hilarious horse faces and her voice is perfect for a character like that and seeing the wasteland outside the capital really shows how bad things are

Zoro just running around punching guys with his swords still in his hands was hilarious and he is so weirdly stubborn about not using the blades for fodder

Hearing Holdem yell Ball de Boo over and over was getting kind of annoying but it made it feel even better when Luffy shut him up for good

Luffy landing that Red Hawk on Holdem was satisfying after seeing what he did to Otama and hearing him scream her name while saving her was really powerful

My heart actually hurt seeing Otama crying while she was being held hostage and I just wanted Luffy to destroy that weird lion man immediately

My blood was boiling when Holdem used those pliers on that poor little girl, it was just infuriating to watch. So when that fire punch landed, I literally cheered out loud—that felt like such righteous justice for Otama, I swear my heart felt lighter.

Luffy grabbing Otama out of the air while the fire flared up was such a great callback to Ace and it made the whole rescue feel special

Speed having a horse body is such a weird design choice even for this show, but seeing the food cart get stolen for the village felt like a huge win

Luffy's final punch, especially when Ace's flames merged with his, just gave me goosebumps; I could practically feel Ace's spirit cheering him on. And Otama's crying afterwards? It was so raw, I totally understood her grief, wishing Ace was still there to see it all.

The way the fire from the Red Hawk just lit up the whole scene when Luffy rescued Otama looked way better than I expected and the pacing felt way faster today

EPISODE CONTEXT

Picking up directly from Luffy's decisive takedown of Urashima, this episode escalates the Wano Country arc by pushing the Straw Hats deeper into enemy-controlled territory and raising the personal stakes around Otama's safety. It serves as a critical bridge between the initial Wano skirmishes and the larger confrontations with the Beast Pirates' Headliners that define the arc's rising action. The groundwork laid here—new character introductions, escalating threat levels—feeds directly into the increasingly dangerous encounters ahead.
