Watching Luffy carry Otama through the heat just to find a doctor shows his true character, and the way he handed her his straw hat was a really touching gesture. Then he just runs into Zoro and they start acting like idiots immediately. It was funny how Zoro could tell that sword was special but Luffy refused to let him see it.
