Episode Context

Positioned in the transitional stretch between the Zou Arc and the Whole Cake Island Arc, this episode functions as connective tissue, wrapping up loose threads from Zou while planting seeds for two major upcoming storylines: the crew's next voyage and the Reverie. The return to Sakura Kingdom and familiar faces like Dalton and Kureha signals One Piece's broadening focus beyond the Straw Hats, setting the stage for the world-shaking political developments that will pay off hundreds of episodes later.
