Luffy hitting the ground and screaming was a huge moment. He is so tired of Doflamingo pulling the strings on everyone

I remember how much Bellamy sucked back in Jaya so seeing him go out with honor like this actually made me feel bad for the guy

Luffy's final punch totally caught me off guard, instantly reminding me of their initial clash back in Jaya. I was genuinely impressed by how much growth it signified for both him and Bellamy, making their whole rivalry feel incredibly earned after all this time.

I honestly didn't expect to feel such a surge of relief when Fujitora started lifting all those rocks, but seeing him protect the city like that just solidifies my belief that his idea of justice is genuinely for the people. He's an admiral, yeah, but his actions scream that he's truly a protector first, and that's so refreshing.

Bellamy knowing Doflamingo doesn't care and still fighting is so sad and those Zoro recaps are really starting to drag out the whole episode

Doflamingo says Law is dead but he is such a liar and there is no way the show would kill him off like that

Zoro training with Mihawk was cool but he had the wrong sword in that one shot and it was a weird mistake to make

When I saw Law just collapse like that and Doflamingo standing over him with that smug grin, gun in hand, I just wanted someone to intervene, like, where's Luffy when you need him? It really made my blood boil seeing Doffy get the upper hand again.

Seeing Law get shot like that at the end really messed with my head and it makes the whole situation feel so much more desperate. Doflamingo is a straight up monster for what he did and seeing Luffy’s face when he saw it was heartbreaking. I really hope Law is okay because the alliance cannot end like this.

Doflamingo is a total monster for what he did to Law and that cliffhanger has everyone stressing out over whether he actually died or not

The way Luffy screamed Bellamy's name before the punch made my chest hurt, because he really didn't want to fight him at all.

The SMILE factory finally getting smashed was a long time coming. Those little Tontattas really put in the work and did their part

Watching Bellamy stick to his guns for so long makes you feel the drag even if the ending was sad. Luffy finally hitting him felt like a mercy after all that jumping around

Bellamy choosing to die for his twisted loyalty was such a depressing end for a guy who just wanted a place to belong

I hated seeing Bellamy push for that fight because he knew he already lost and seeing Luffy look so miserable while landing that final punch was rough

Bellamy's flashback to Jaya was such a strong moment for me; I'd forgotten how much of a cynical jerk he was back then. To see him now, fighting for something he believes in after mocking all those dreams, it really emphasizes how much Luffy's presence has shifted his entire world.

Bellamy trying to keep his pride while being used like a puppet made that final punch feel so much more tragic

That animation mistake with Zoro holding the wrong sword in the flashback stood out. The scene was still heavy but that was definitely a weird slip up

I still cannot believe Doflamingo just shot Law like that and now Luffy is going to lose his mind

I cannot believe they left us on that cliffhanger with Law looking like that. It is so hard to watch Bellamy stick to his guns for a guy who does not even care about him, but that respect he has for Luffy now is everything. The pacing felt a bit slow and drawn out today but the ending still hit pretty hard.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the momentum of Pica's defeat, episode 720 pivots from large-scale battlefield action to intimate personal conflict, narrowing Dressrosa's sprawling scope to one of its most emotionally significant character beats. This installment represents a critical emotional checkpoint before the arc's final stretch escalates toward the ultimate showdown with Doflamingo. It resolves a thread that's been woven since Jaya, giving long-time viewers a payoff that deepens the thematic stakes heading into the climax.
