Episode Context

Deep in the Dressrosa arc's battle phase, this episode follows directly from the formation of Luffy's allied forces and their organized assault on Doflamingo's stronghold. The previous episodes established the alliances and battle lines; now those plans are being tested against Pica's devastating stone abilities. This confrontation sets the stage for more targeted one-on-one clashes as the allied forces work to carve a path toward Doflamingo himself.
