EPISODE REVIEWS

I just want to give little Luffy a hug after seeing him follow Ace around like a puppy and it makes me so happy he has Sabo now too

Gray Terminal is such a grim place for kids to grow up and you really see why they all wanted to become pirates to escape that trash heap

Episode Context

This episode continues the extended childhood flashback arc that began exploring Luffy and Ace's early years, now introducing the critical third figure in their brotherhood. Sabo. It builds directly on the previous episode's establishment of Luffy and Ace's contentious early relationship, adding new emotional layers and world-building that will pay off significantly as the arc progresses toward defining moments for all three boys.
