EPISODE REVIEWS

I can't get over Zoro fighting with that massive chest wound and he still managed to take out the octopus guy while bleeding through his bandages like crazy

Seeing Zoro stand up and win after that flashback of his promise and the Mihawk fight is incredible because his fever was clearly killing him and he still pulled off that tiger hunt move

Episode Context

This episode is deep in the Arlong Park arc, one of early One Piece's most pivotal story arcs, with the Straw Hats fully committed to their assault on Arlong's stronghold. The previous episode kicked off the crew's confrontation with Arlong's officers, and this one escalates the individual battles that define the arc's middle stretch. It builds critical momentum toward the arc's climax, the showdowns that will cement the crew's bonds and deliver the emotional payoff this storyline has been building toward.
