Kuina's story reframes everything about Zoro's drive. His grief and his promise are both quiet and enormous. The show earns the emotion without overdoing it. One of the best backstory episodes so far.

I still cant believe Kuina died from falling down some stairs after all that training and it feels so unfair for her story to end like that but Zoro carrying her sword to the top is everything

Coming off the lighter standalone encounter with Gaimon, this episode pivots hard into emotional backstory territory as the series transitions toward the Baratie Arc. It deepens Zoro's characterization at a critical moment, the crew is still forming, and anchoring his motivations now pays dividends as increasingly dangerous opponents lie ahead.
