Coming off Episode 7's focus on Mio's domestic reality within Kujou's temple, Episode 8 takes that grounded setting and uses it to interrogate what their relationship actually means to each of them. At the two-thirds mark of a 12-episode run, this is the series doing the emotional groundwork before the final stretch — establishing whether the bond between Mio and Kujou has genuine depth before the remaining episodes push that connection to its limits.
