That was a nice resolution. I’m glad I got to see more of Ringo beyond her cunning personality. Also, I love the touch of fairy tale elements in Ringo and Himeno’s characters, with Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood!

In an anime about fairy tales and with one of the main characters being based by the Little Red Riding Hood and the apple from Snow White at the same time, it feels kind of obvious that they would reimagine the story behind Snow White at some point. And for our happiness, that happens in this very episode, with a twist that makes for a very funny but also touching story, specially for our dear Ringo-san.

Episode Context

Episode 9 pivots hard into character territory, putting Ringo front and center in what shapes up as one of the more emotionally layered entries in the series. The fairy tale framing, this time riffing on Snow White, provides the structural backdrop, but the real substance comes from Ringo's complicated history with Himeno Shirayuki and the tangled feelings around family and reconciliation. The tone strikes a careful balance: the signature narrator-driven comedy and lighthearted group banter remain intact, but there's genuine weight underneath as the episode slows down to let its character moments breathe. J.C.Staff leans into introspective pacing here, giving space for backstory and emotional confrontation without abandoning the show's warmth. Expect less action-oriented antics and more quiet, reflective beats that reward investment in Ringo as more than comic relief.
