Episode Context

After episode one established the wish, the contract, and Keiichi and Belldandy's unlikely cohabitation, this second episode expands the world by introducing a key supporting character in Urd, permanently changing the show's dynamic from a quiet two-person romance to a livelier ensemble. It's a pivotal early move in a compact five-episode OVA, using Urd's arrival to deepen character relationships and raise stakes before the series moves into its more complex back half. This episode lays essential groundwork for the escalating supernatural and romantic complications that define the remaining three episodes.
