A heartbreaking episode as reality catches up with the newly formed team. At the same time, it sets the stage for great character development and some interesting introspection in the episodes to come.

The first half was funny asf but the last half was actually on the emotional side. I feel so bad for Kei but honestly i think it will be a room for improvement for him. Kokuto was really good and his skills amaze me. It’s getting good now and the tension keeps this more interesting.

Episode Context

After three episodes spent assembling the ragtag Kotesashi High squad and establishing its eccentric roster, Episode 4 is the payoff, their first major competitive match against Teitoku High marks a clear turning point from setup to execution. This game serves as a proving ground that will inform the deeper character explorations ahead, particularly around why certain players walked away from baseball and what pulls them back. At the one-third mark of a 12-episode season, this is the pivot where stakes become real.
