Unlike Kaname or Todo, Chihaya's backstory explores a more personal and deeply rooted issue that led him to quit baseball. His path to overcoming it is different, but it also shows how much the team's bond has grown.

The background music adds more tension and like an adrenaline rush? Idk the right term but it was good. Chihaya’s backstory got me sobbing T_T but it was nice to see the progress and development. I feel like a proud parent here. This is what I like when it comes to lore, they sometimes have life lesson for the viewers to learn.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 10's external pressures in 'Can't Run From Them,' this penultimate episode pivots to internal reckoning, leadership transitions, personal honesty, and the fractures within Kotesashi's roster that needed addressing before any climactic payoff. It functions as the critical emotional setup for the season finale, 'Did You Hate It?,' where these threads of self-reflection and shifting team dynamics are expected to reach their resolution. This is the calm before the storm, but the kind of calm that cuts deep.
