Ah! They switched bodies this time! Mahiro becomes Nyaruko, and Nyaruko becomes Mahiro. You can already guess that this episode is going to become completely chaotic. It’s really fun watching Nyaruko mess around while using Mahiro’s body, and you keep waiting to see what ridiculous thing she will do next. To protect his own body, Mahiro actually comes up with such a weird method, and somehow Kuuko falls for it so easily. The whole episode is just nonstop nonsense and comedy.
This episode delivers a fantastic shift in vibe by leaning heavily into a parody of classic mecha and sci-fi transformation tropes. The character dynamics are incredibly charming here, especially as the crew’s usual chaotic energy gets funneled into hilarious, overly dramatic hero poses and sentai antics.
