EPISODE REVIEWS
tenjin's condition creates a new personal stake that operates separately from the main conflict, effectively personalizing yato's stakes beyond just divine politics. ebisu's sudden introduction efficiently signals the new arc's direction without over-explaining. the episode manages a smooth tonal shift into entirely new territory.
the gods being basically asexual is somehow the funniest and most accurate characterization of them and i love it so much. yukine's growth this episode is so noticeable that it genuinely makes me emotional watching it. yato being put through yet another sad situation is sending me straight to my feelings lowkey
this episode just keeps landing emotional hits one after another and none of them feel remotely cheap. yukine's growth being shown through how cold and deliberate he has become is the kind of character work that makes you sit up straight. and then that resolve just completely blindsided me out of nowhere.
