The tone is way darker now that the show focuses on Ayase, making the casino scene feel genuinely dangerous instead of just a silly plot point
gobta_goblin_154's avatar
gobta_goblin_154
Watching Kanou get jealous over Ko talking to Ayase is pathetic because he treats Ayase like property and doesn't even realize how much he is destroying him
jeremiah_gottwald_175's avatar
jeremiah_gottwald_175
Ayase crying in the casino while men fight over him is a lot to handle and the lack of consent in that bedroom scene was really uncomfortable
kohaku_kunoichi's avatar

Ko handing over that pet training book was such a wild move and she really just tells Kanou exactly how it is regarding his sexuality without any hesitation
mamamu_yan's avatar

I felt so bad for Ayase when the casino owner tried to bid on him like an object and Kanou being jealous just makes the whole situation feel even more suffocating
maryrie's avatar

Kanou getting Ayase drunk to take advantage of him was incredibly dark and it sucks seeing how much Ayase is actually hurting now that we see his point of view

Seeing Ayase in that casino surrounded by people who just want to buy him was really hard to watch and the shift to his perspective makes everything feel much more grim
nicol_ascart_166's avatar
nicol_ascart_166
Ko calling Kanou out for his weird views was the only good part of this episode and that pet training book thing is such a toxic way to handle a person
ami_mizuno's avatar

My skin was crawling during the casino scene because Ayase is clearly suffering and Kanou just uses it as an excuse to be possessive. I actually liked Ko showing up since she seems to see through Kanou's nonsense, but giving him a training book for a human being is just unhinged. This whole relationship is a total wreck and I can't look away.

I hate that Kanou got him drunk just to do that and it feels so gross watching Ayase struggle while everyone just treats him like a prize to be won at a casino
gen_gunpowder_159's avatar

the contrast between how nice that mansion looks and the horrible situation ayase is stuck in is really striking and that creates such a heavy atmosphere

Guon being a cameraman is such a random addition to the family dynamic but then he immediately gets kidnapped alongside Ayase so that went south fast
postman_273's avatar
postman_273
My brain actually stalled when Kano showed up to save them from the kidnapping, using a politician's daughter as a human shield instead of just paying up. It is totally unhinged and seeing his brother Guon getting dragged into the mess, it made everything even crazier. This show is getting darker every minute and the logic is just completely gone
buruburu_blade's avatar

That Russian roulette scene at the casino was actually terrifying because Ayase just has no control over anything that happens to his life right now
adjuchas_ace_478's avatar
adjuchas_ace_478
Kano getting him drunk just to take advantage of him makes this show so much harder to watch than the first episode and the tone shift is really bleak

I lost it when Koko handed Kano that pet training book to help with Ayase because she really called him out for being a monster
wanyudo_warrior's avatar

kanou is such a jerk for making ayase pay back the money that way and it is hard to watch ayase be so scared of him the whole time
hosenki's avatar

My heart actually hurt when Ayase realized he has absolutely no way out of this arrangement, especially with Kanou watching his every single move like a hawk
zygarde_312's avatar
zygarde_312
that moment where ayase almost remembers where he knows kanou from really makes the tension even worse and you just want to know what happened back then

gion seems like he might be the only sane person in that house and watching him navigate kanou and ayase is kind of funny compared to the rest of the drama

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 2 arrives immediately after the premiere established the core premise — Ayase's auction and Kanou's purchase of him — leaving little runway before the relationship's full weight sets in. At the halfway point of a four-episode series, this installment is where foundational dynamics deepen and emotional fault lines begin to fully emerge. What happens here directly shapes the emotional payoff the final two episodes are built to deliver.
