This show is definitely not for everyone because that ending was incredibly heavy and the power dynamic between Ayase and Kanou is already super messed up

Seeing Tetsuo just hand over his relative to pay off debts was the coldest thing ever and the music during the reveal was actually pretty haunting

Ayase crying after being sold for over a billion made me feel so bad for him and Kanou is such a terrifying person right now

five hundred thousand yen per night sounds like a lot until you realize ayase owes over a billion and will be stuck with kanou forever at this rate

The animation is a huge step down from the manga and it makes the whole auction scene feel way less impactful than it was in the books

I felt sick seeing his own cousin sell him at an auction for an unreal price and the way Kanou is already treating him is so dark

tetsuo is seriously the worst relative ever for putting ayase in that auction and i was hoping kanou would be a decent person but then he pulls that move with the debt repayment plan and it just felt so wrong watching him force ayase into that deal when the poor guy had zero other options to get away from him

kanou is so massive compared to ayase that it almost looks like they are from two different shows and it just adds to how much of a power imbalance there is

the lack of consent in that bedroom scene was pretty disturbing and seeing ayase so helpless while kanou used the debt to trap him was just a lot to handle

kanou keeps acting like he knows ayase from somewhere in the past but then treats him like a tool to be bought and used so i really doubt his intentions

i felt so bad for ayase crying at the end of the episode while kanou just took what he wanted, that was really hard to watch

kanou paying over a billion for ayase just to make him sleep with him to pay it back really grossed me out and i dont see how this is romance

tetsuo is actually such a villain for selling his own family at an auction like ayase was some piece of furniture just to cover his own stupid gambling debts

this version feels way darker than the manga used to, the atmosphere at the auction house really nailed how terrifying that situation would actually be for someone like ayase

ayase looks like a literal child compared to kanou and it makes the whole situation at the end of the episode feel even more messed up than it already was

that random guy attacking ayase right before the auction was so uncomfortable and it makes kanou buying him feel even more complicated

it is hard to watch ayase being forced into this debt repayment plan after everything he went through at that auction house and kanou is being way too aggressive

kanou towers over ayase in every shot and those character proportions are really something else to see on screen

I felt so bad for Ayase getting sold off by his own cousin like that and he spends the whole time crying while everything goes wrong
