📖 SYNOPSIS
"Zetsuai 1989" centers on the tumultuous relationship between Koji Nanjo, a rising rock star, and Takuto Izumi, a talented soccer player. Koji is captivated by Izumi, but their connection is complicated by Izumi's past. He carries the burden of his father's murder, a crime committed by his own mother out of an all-consuming love. This tragic history prevents Izumi from pursuing a professional soccer career, fearing exposure. He actively resists Koji's advances and the unwanted attention from the press. Despite Izumi's rejection, Koji is drawn to him, realizing his own feelings mirror the intense, almost obsessive love that drove Izumi's mother to commit such a desperate act.
