Episode Context

Following Episode 9's emotional weight surrounding Yayakichi's sacrifice and Ohga's restored command, Episode 10 channels that momentum into Yamato's internal power structure, shifting from grief to high-stakes deliberation. It marks the point where the military crisis formally enters the imperial decision-making process, placing Aoteru at the center of a confrontation that determines the political will behind the war effort. This episode directly scaffolds Episode 11, 'Lie on Firewood and Council the Heavens,' positioning the season's endgame around whatever threshold is crossed here.
