It was a good start, most of the gags are pretty funny, the ninja training setting can lead to fun plotlines. Shinobu and Kaede have great comedic chemistry, even the serious moments have some quirky aspect to them, I can only hope the writers keep this quality throughout the show. This is one of Ufotable's early works but the style is entirely different to their current shows.

That kind of humor definitely comes with the territory when you are watching a parody. I feel like I am getting the direction of the plot and what the story is trying to do. Plus, for an older series, the animation holds up really well.

This anime is pretty okay. The animation is good, the art style is one I haven't seen much, and it's pretty engaging. Some of the gags are a little perverted, but I guess that does come with the parody genre. I feel bad for Shinobu, but her bond with Kaede already looks like it's going to shape up into something quite cute. Onsokumaru is just plain weird, but I also liked the gatekeeper ninja. I do hope they never EVER have tea from a bottle at the ninja palace, though.
