Episode Context

Coming off the Tsutomu and Mikako misunderstanding arc, this episode deliberately pivots the focus toward Mariko, giving her personal storyline room to develop independently. At episode 33 of 50, the series is in its final stretch of establishing character growth before converging threads for the endgame. This episode plants seeds for Mariko's evolving emotional landscape that subsequent episodes will continue to build on.
