Episode Context

Coming directly off the series premiere that introduced Mikako and Tsutomu's longstanding platonic dynamic, this episode begins quietly complicating what looked like a straightforward friendship. At just episode 2 of 50, it functions as essential groundwork, establishing the emotional baseline that the rest of the season will push against as outside pressures and personal ambitions start pulling the two characters in new directions.
