Episode Context

At episode 20 of 26, the series is entering its most consequential stretch. The previous episode laid the groundwork for the Kyoto departure, and this one officially launches what shapes up to be the season's central dramatic arc. Episode 21, 'Never Despair,' picks up directly from where tensions here escalate, meaning this episode functions as a tonal and narrative bridge, the last breath before the stakes climb sharply.
