The relationships become more more complicated, and the emotional tension keeps growing naturally. Nobody fully understands each other, which makes every interaction feel uncomfortable but realistic.

The pacing is slow, but not to the point of being boring. It just makes you want to say, “Okay, cut to the chase.” I know the fairy tale insertions meant to be interpretative scenes, a way of understanding the characters, but they also make the story unnecessarily longer.
