A beautiful conclusion to a heartbreaking yet wholesome love story. Seeing Rokka's development, Ryosuke finally expressing his feelings, as well as Atsushi's long journey was an emotional gutpunch, but it was unforgettable.

As the series ends, this episode successfully addresses the underlying tensions and connecting emotions between Rokka, Ryosuke and Atsushi, with the direction and transition of this episode masterfully showing everything and more.

This episode is simply described as CINEMA: beautiful direction, background art, transitions, soundtrack, while portraying the painful situation with our three leading characters.

Probably one of the most beautiful episodes in the series, and it was filled with painful realizations as well as Rokka, Atsushi and especially Ryosuke connecting the actual dots.

Another heartbreaking episode, but this time Atsushi tries to let go despite his desires, Rokka tries holding on to her new feelings, and Ryosuke tries to break out from the situation he seems to be trapped in.

This episode has such gorgeous visuals, and also excellent direction showing Rokka and Atsushi's pasts, as well as Ryosuke's mental state after a certain big event actually happened after being foreshadowed in previous episodes.

A very beautifully animated date that was frought with a lot of emotions, it was fun to see how Ryosuke interacted with Rokka and showing both their feelings while seeing Atsushi getting another chance to meddle.

As Atsushi suggests an outrageous proposal to Ryosuke, Rokka tries to take a new step beyond remembering the past, though forces of nature raises a new tension only Ryosuke is actually able to perceive for now.

As Ryosuke sees more of Rokka's history, and as Atsushi extends more of his presence, the three of them are forced to make decisions on things they have avoided for some time.

Besides how beautiful the animation is (this is also one of Doga Kobo's first josei anime), the first episode of this series surprises you with its sudden shift from slice-of-life into a supernatural turn, especially introducing Ryosuke, Rokka and Atsushi.

The emotional payoff finally starts hitting hard here. The anime handles love, grief, and acceptance in a quiet way that feels more realistic than overly dramatic.
