That phone booth must have been like an oven and it was so awkward when Yoshi had to strip down just to stop sweating through his clothes while standing right next to a stranger

Sachi looks way different than the promotional art and the way she grabbed Yoshi after that bug escaped the cage really shifted the whole mood of the afternoon

I was really surprised by how much the atmosphere carried this episode because that phone booth felt like a character on its own, and the way the summer heat was animated made the decision to undress feel inevitable before the bug freakout pushed them together, even though Sachi looks nothing like the poster her reaction to the insect felt very real

The way the heat haze looked outside while they were trapped in that tiny box created such a weirdly quiet atmosphere and seeing them panic over a single bug was actually kind of funny

I really felt that summer heat through the screen and it made the whole phone booth scene feel way more intense than I expected when the bug net got stuck

Cicada sounds in the background were a nice touch and really captured that heavy summer heat while they were stuck in that booth

It makes zero sense why they would stay in a glass box in the sun instead of just breaking the bug net or the door to get out

You can really tell they put a lot of effort into the close up shots when they were pressed together in that tiny space and it looked great

I went into this thinking it would be a normal short story, but the phone booth setting is so specific and weird. The logic of staying in there while it gets that hot is crazy, but the animation was actually high quality. I really liked the way they handled the lighting even if the actual premise felt a bit silly for me.

That bug flying out of the cage and scaring Sachi like that really made me laugh

Cramped phone booth scenes reminded you of stuff like Koi Yagate Midara and the art style was just as clean

Sachi looked like such a proper lady on the cover, but she really lost all that composure the second that bug started flying around the booth.

I still cannot believe that bug net got them stuck like that and it was such a weird way to start their whole situation in that booth

Doing all that in a glass box under the direct sun seems like a great way to get heatstroke or caught by anyone walking on that mountain path

The animation from Studio New Generation looked way better than you usually get for these types of shows and the colors really made the summer heat feel real

That insect flying around and making Sachi panic was such a classic setup and it worked so well here

It felt so awkward watching Yoshi take his clothes off in front of her but I guess they had no choice with how hot it got in that phone booth

The heat making them undress out of necessity is such a bold move and it really highlights how suffocating that tiny box was for them

The focus on the sweat and the stillness of the mountain path made the phone booth feel like its own little world for me

EPISODE CONTEXT

As Episode 1, this installment carries the full weight of series setup — introducing Yoshi and Sachi and establishing the confined, secretive dynamic that appears central to the show's premise. There is no prior episode to reference, making this the baseline for tone and character chemistry. What unfolds here directly shapes the expectations for how the relationship between the two leads will develop in subsequent episodes.
