Cool technique from Sasuke.

Episode Context

Directly continuing from Episode 66's opening clash between Sasuke and Gaara, this episode escalates their Chūnin Exam confrontation to a decisive turning point, paying off Kakashi's off-screen training arc. It serves as the final major tournament battle before the narrative explodes outward, the very next episode, 'Zero Hour! The Destruction of the Hidden Leaf Village Begins!', shifts the entire series from individual combat to full-scale crisis. This is the hinge point between the Chūnin Exam fights and one of Naruto's most iconic arcs.
