EPISODE REVIEWS

It's the first iconic mission of team 7. This episode reveals more of the Naruto world, it even shows how each of the nation's ninja villages functions as a whole and the role of being being the Hokage. This even shows that team 7 definitely learned something from Kakashi's test.

Episode Context

Episode 6 marks the definitive end of Team 7's introductory phase and launches the Land of Waves arc, the first sustained narrative arc of the series. The preceding episodes established team dynamics and basic ninja competence through low-stakes D-rank missions; this episode escalates everything by assigning Team 7 a C-rank escort mission that quickly reveals hidden dangers. It sets the stage for the intense confrontations and character-defining moments that will dominate the next stretch of episodes.
