It's the first iconic mission of team 7. This episode reveals more of the Naruto world, it even shows how each of the nation's ninja villages functions as a whole and the role of being being the Hokage. This even shows that team 7 definitely learned something from Kakashi's test.

Zabusa is cool dude, same with Haku, cool setting, cool fight, and cool characters. Love this one.

I'm still amazed at how well the storytelling creates intrigue and keeps the tension high, even in these introductory episodes. So well-written!

Unexpected action thickens the plot here. And that ominous villain reveal was an insane cliffhanger and hype setter

The world-building is opening up a lot here from the mission system to the other countries. That last scene was definitely foreboding and gets you hyped

Episode 6 of Naruto is where the Land of Waves arc starts getting intense. Zabuza Momochi feels genuinely dangerous, and Team 7 realizes real missions aren’t games anymore.
Short review: Tense, atmospheric, and the first episode that truly feels like a serious ninja story.

First real mission and the stakes jump faster than expected. Naruto stabbing his own hand to keep going is an early defining moment. The shadow behind this mission is already much bigger than it looks.

What kind of mission was that first one, haha. The way they ignored the Hokage was funny!! I liked how they explained the world. And a very good balance of humor and action.

Ninja missions and villages are explained naturally. I really loved the intake; it helps the audience grasp the information for specific circumstances. Naruto and his team complained about the mission quality and felt reluctant. I think the pace and animation are slow and vintage

I noticed that Naruto's hand was healing super fast after he stabbed it and Kakashi definitely saw it too even if he stayed quiet

Sakura stood there with a kunai trying to protect the old man but she looked totally terrified while the boys were doing all the heavy lifting in that forest fight

Zabuza showing up at the end with that massive sword on his back and that cold look is making the Land of Waves look like a suicide mission

That cat was a menace and the way Madam Shijimi squeezed it explains everything about why it ran away and Naruto still got his face wrecked for a D rank job

How did Kakashi even notice that puddle on a day where it hadn't rained in weeks because that kind of attention to detail is why he is a Jonin

My heart actually stopped for a second when those chains ripped Kakashi apart because the show had been so lighthearted until that exact moment. It was a total wake-up call that these kids are in real danger now, and seeing Naruto freeze up like that made the whole ninja world feel way more terrifying than just playing around in the village

I thought Naruto was just a loudmouth but him stabbing his own hand to prove a point was heavy and that blood oath really changed the whole mood for me

Sasuke asking if Naruto was a scaredy cat while looking all cool was such a jerk move and yet he actually backed it up when those Mist guys jumped out

I seriously felt so bad for that cat Tora because that lady was basically crushing it to death and no wonder it keeps running away from home
