Episode 4 of Naruto is where Team 7 finally starts understanding each other a little.
The survival test with Kakashi Hatake becomes more serious, and the main message is clear:
Ninja who abandon teammates are worse than trash.
Naruto is still reckless, Sasuke Uchiha is cold, and Sakura Haruno is confused — but for the first time they act like a team.
Short review: Simple episode, but emotionally important. It turns Team 7 from random students into actual comrades.

Kakashi shows up late, says almost nothing, and immediately becomes the coolest character in the show. The bell test setup is simple and clever. You already know this team is going to be something special.

Sasuke’s introduction reactions made me laugh out loud. The duo of Kakashi and Naruto is really ridiculous in a funny way. The last part was actually impactful.

The new sensei was given the charge of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. It is none other than Kakashi. The test that he takes really draws the attention of the audience. The storyline uses the device of foreshadowing, which leaves everyone on hinge for the upcoming episode.

The episode was good one. It gave a detail of the duties and task the hero had to do in the village. The exercise was a good way to showcase skill of the characters.

Finding out Naruto got caught in that bell trap while hanging upside down from a tree made my day because he is such an idiot

Kakashi reading that book while Naruto tried to kick him was the funniest thing ever and then that thousand years of death move made the whole scene even better

You really see how different they all are when Sasuke is talking about revenge, while Sakura is just thinking about her crush and Naruto wants to be leader of the village. It is kind of a mess right now, but watching them struggle against a guy who can swap himself with a log is so cool. I hope they figure out the teamwork thing.

Watching Kakashi make them skip breakfast just to eat lunch right in front of them while they are tied up and hungry is actually so mean

The way Sasuke just sat there during the intro while the others were yelling made him look so edgy but then he almost got Kakashi with those kunai

The stakes feel way higher now that we know most students fail, especially with Naruto being so desperate for respect

Naruto getting hung upside down because he wanted lunch so bad was the most predictable thing ever

Sakura just hiding and staring at Sasuke while the others actually try to fight is kind of annoying to watch

Kakashi actually falling for that eraser trick and then calling them idiots right after was such a funny way to start the episode
