The episode is mostly about chemistry:
Kakashi Hatake instantly steals every scene with his lazy but mysterious vibe.
Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno clearly don’t work well together yet — which actually makes it fun to watch.
The bell test is simple but smart: it shows that being a ninja isn’t just about strength, it’s about teamwork.

Team 7 comes together in the most chaotic way possible. The dynamic is messy and awkward and completely believable. Expired milk causing chaos is peak early Naruto comedy energy.

Naruto is funny without even trying, this episode is full of hilarious moments. Sakura talks a lot for no reason, and Sasuke is always farming aura.

For the very first time, the trios were involved in the story. Although the major elements of this episode are comical, the foreshadowing of deeper plot pointers makes this one unique. The flow and narrative are quite great here. The direction also feels good.

Team 7 assembles and the tension is IMMEDIATE. Sasuke brooding, Sakura simping, Naruto just trying to exist. Funny episode tbh. The rival energy starts here. Slow pacing but character setup matters. Must watch! 🤗

The episode was well paced one showing the development of hero. It also showcased on others around him and how they treated him. It was a good episode

Watching Naruto try to use a transformation to steal a kiss from Sakura was so cringey but the expired milk saving her at the last second was perfect timing for a gag

My stomach hurt from laughing when all those shadow clones had to run for the bathroom at the same time because Naruto being his own worst enemy is iconic

Did anyone else feel a little bad for Naruto after that accidental kiss with Sasuke? I mean, yeah, it was super gross for both of them, but seeing Sasuke's pure disgust just makes me wonder if he ever actually sees Naruto as anything more than a rival, or just a total nuisance he can't get rid of.

Sakura’s cruel words to Naruto, thinking he was Sasuke, made me really feel that sting for him all over again, especially after all the loneliness he’s endured. When Sasuke actually called her out, I was internally cheering for her to finally get a clue, and I’m definitely hoping this sticks and she starts seeing Naruto for more than just a nuisance.

I can already tell Sakura is going to get on my nerves with that comment about Naruto not having parents and Sasuke was right to call her annoying for that

Sakura and Ino racing to the classroom and shoving each other out of the way just to sit by Sasuke was pure chaos and this team is going to be a disaster if they cannot stop bickering

Sasuke getting tied up by a transformation prank shows he is not as invincible as he thinks and it was cool seeing Naruto actually use some smart moves for once

Hinata was just watching Naruto from the corner of the room and she is the only person who seems happy he actually passed the exam while everyone else is just fighting over seats

The scene where Kakashi finds the old milk in the apartment makes everything make sense, and it explains why Naruto was dying in the bathroom while trying to fight Sasuke
