decent filler conclusion with naruto doing his classic talk-no-jutsu thing on the princess, the sunlight forehead protector finish is kinda goofy but at least it wraps everything up cleanly, nothing special but inoffensive as far as filler goes

Renga spent way too much time explaining his own power but Naruto finally beating him was great

I was impressed that Naruto used his brain to win instead of just spamming Rasengan and that sun laser move was actually pretty neat for a filler

The way Naruto used his headband as a mirror to turn that giant laser back on Renga was actually a pretty clever move for a filler episode

You can really tell the animators put more effort into the scenes with Hanare than they did for the actual fight at the end of the episode

The Hidden Lock village is such a cool concept for a setting and seeing a spy who can actually hold her own against Ibiki was a nice change of pace

While the stuff with Kakashi was cool, Naruto's fight against that Renga guy was pretty boring and full of way too many long speeches about nothing

That flashback with young Kakashi and Hanare under the tree was actually beautiful and it made their encounter in the present feel way more meaningful than your average filler episode character

I honestly enjoyed seeing this softer side of Kakashi because he is usually so closed off and acting like nothing bothers him, the dynamic with Hanare felt genuine and it makes me wonder about all the people he met during his younger days as a ninja, even though it is just filler the animation looked great and it felt more like a real story

Renga just standing there and explaining his entire jutsu while Naruto listened felt like such a classic trope and it made the whole fight move way too slow

Ibiki acting so intense during the interrogation really reminded me why the Hidden Leaf is kind of a dark place to live even if they are the good guys in my head

The Romeo and Juliet vibes between Kakashi and Hanare were actually strong and the animation during their scenes was surprisingly high quality for a random filler story

The way Naruto won that fight with Renga by using his headband to reflect a laser was so weird and it really felt like they ran out of ideas for the ending

I never thought I would see Kakashi actually catch feelings for someone and the whole Hanare thing was actually pretty sweet for a filler episode

You really have to be a completionist to sit through this whole arc because the villains were not that memorable and the resolution with the princess felt generic

I actually liked the part where Naruto used his clones to trick Renga because it reminded me of his better fights and seeing him save Princess Haruna felt like a solid enough ending for this arc even if it was just filler and I really hope the next mission has more stakes than just protecting some peddlers

It is honestly annoying how many fillers are in this part of the show and this whole peddler mission just did not have much impact

The way Renga manipulated the weather was unique, yet the resolution felt rushed like they just wanted to wrap up this Land of Vegetables story quickly

Watching Naruto protect Princess Haruna from that light beam was decent, but I really just wanted to see more of Hinata and Choji actually fighting

Renga trying to use his lens jutsu to burn Naruto was interesting even if the fight ended up being pretty basic for a filler finale

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 191 serves as the climax and resolution of the Peddlers Escort Mission filler arc, following directly from Hinata's confrontation with Jiga in the previous episode. It brings Naruto's conflict with the arc villain Renga to a head while resolving Princess Haruna's storyline. After this, the series transitions sharply into lighter standalone filler territory with 'Ino Screams! Chubby Paradise!,' making this a natural stopping point for anyone selectively watching filler arcs.
