Iruka Sensei just leaping in front of Naruto like that really got to me – it wasn't just protection, it was like a dad shielding his kid, reminding me of when he first really believed in Naruto. Even though this arc's a bit slow, that one moment alone made me tear up, realizing how far their bond has come.

I cannot get over Mizuki turning into a tiger man after drinking that juice and he looks like a giant house cat trying to be scary

Why did they turn Mizuki into a tiger because that was the most bizarre thing to happen in this arc and the pacing felt like it was dragging forever

Watching Iruka sensei protect Naruto again was sweet and it really showed how much their bond matters even in these random filler episodes that don't follow the manga

I have mixed feelings about this one because Mizuki turning into a giant tiger was definitely a choice but I think the emotional stuff with Iruka saved it. Seeing them team up again really reminded me why I started watching this show in the first place and that Rasengan looked great even if the villain was acting a bit ridiculous

Mizuki turning into a tiger man is the weirdest thing in this show and it is hard to know how to feel about it

That tiger man transformation really shows how weird these side stories get but it was still fun to see Mizuki finally get what he deserved from Iruka

I found the callbacks to the first episode very touching but Mizuki turning into a furry monster was so goofy that it pulled me right out of the moment

Having Iruka back in action was actually great, but that tiger transformation was just too much for anyone to handle and Mizuki looked like a reject from a monster battling show which ruined the tension of the battle

That team move between Naruto and Iruka to take down the man who started everything was a great touch and it made the whole filler arc feel worth it for that moment alone

That experimental drink from Orochimaru was not on the list for this week and seeing Mizuki turn into a giant tiger man was so bizarre that you almost forget it is a ninja show and the way he and Iruka have this history makes the fight feel personal even if the monster design is totally silly and out of place

My head is still spinning from Mizuki turning into a tiger beast and it is so hard to take him seriously as a villain when he looks like he belongs in a different anime

Writers must have been on something when they came up with that tiger juice and it feels like a weird dream seeing Mizuki become a mutant cat after all this time

Even though this is filler, the way Naruto and Iruka look out for each other feels very real and that tiger monster transformation for Mizuki was totally ridiculous but Iruka's determination felt earned

I really liked seeing Iruka and Naruto fight as a team because their relationship is the best part of the early series and it was nice to see them get some closure against that jerk

Mizuki turning into a giant striped cat man is the weirdest thing this show has done and he looks like a mascot for cereal but it made for a funny fight alongside Naruto and Iruka

It was such a strange choice to bring back the first villain with a tiger transformation for this filler arc but Iruka standing by Naruto felt very authentic

Watching Ino and Shikamaru and Choji use some cool new moves was fun because the secondary cast finally got to do something and the team stuff was actually okay

The potion Mizuki drank made him look like a total clown and it ruined the tension of the fight and while Naruto and Iruka had a few sweet scenes the tiger man thing was nonsense

That tiger transformation for Mizuki was one of the most bizarre things I have seen in this show so far, and it honestly felt like a fever dream. But I really did appreciate the focus on the bond between Naruto and Iruka, because their history is so important. Watching Iruka fight to protect him was great.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 147 serves as the conclusion to the filler Mizuki Tracking Mission arc, resolving the conflict set up in the preceding episodes where Mizuki's transformation and Orochimaru-connected ambitions were revealed. It directly follows Episode 146's escalation and brings this self-contained storyline to a close. With the arc wrapped up, Episode 148 pivots to the Bikōchū Search Mission, a new filler arc beginning deep into the post-Sasuke Retrieval stretch of the series.
