Seeing Choji just eating and getting all his weight back made me laugh and it is nice to see the leaf genin hanging out again

When those two enormous dudes just waltz out of what's supposed to be a maximum-security prison because they wanted a snack, I was genuinely baffled. Like, what even is the point of that place if hunger is all it takes to escape?

Watching Shino still be salty about the Sasuke mission was funny, but the rest of this filler stuff feels so slow

this episode was just people walking around the village and talking for twenty minutes and naruto barely did anything the whole time

shino being salty about the sasuke mission was the best part of the whole thing because my man was the only one left out

I forgot Mizuki even existed and him showing up again to mess with Iruka actually caught me off guard

the update on what everyone is doing in the village was okay but it went on for way too long and nothing really happened

how is that prison considered maximum security when those two idiots just walked out and nobody stopped them until it was too late

The music at the start of the episode was actually really good, even if the rest of the plot felt like a total waste of time

more filler is exactly what i did not want right now and these new villains are so boring compared to the actual story

mizuki coming back from episode one is a weird choice and seeing him again was unexpected but at least orochimaru is involved somehow

I'm trying to give these filler episodes a chance but it's hard when the villains are this uninteresting, mizuki returning is a decent callback to the start of the show, but seeing him with these two goofy brothers makes the stakes feel so low and the only highlight for me was shino being petty about the sasuke mission because it felt like a real character moment

why are the guards in the hidden leaf so bad at their jobs and let the most dangerous prisoners escape without a real fight

I really hated seeing those random brothers escape from a maximum security prison so easily and the leaf village security looks like a joke now

Watching a maximum security prison get taken down that easily by some goofy brothers and a guy like Mizuki was honestly hard to watch, especially when the first half was just boring updates on everyone. It feels like the village security is a joke now and Orochimaru being behind it is the only reason I might keep watching this filler arc

Those two giant brothers are so annoying to watch and they ruined any tension the prison escape actually had because they act like total idiots the whole time

Seeing Mizuki pop up again surprised me because I thought he was gone for good but the first half of this episode was just people talking about nothing

This prison break made no sense at all and the guards were basically useless against a few guys who should have been locked down way tighter than that

It was strange to see Mizuki again after so long but the way he escaped with those two weird brothers felt too silly to take seriously compared to the Sasuke stuff

The twin brothers are way too goofy for my taste, and I honestly just want to skip ahead to the canon stuff because this filler arc feels pointless

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 142 of 220, this lands deep in Naruto's extended filler stretch that follows the Sasuke Recovery Mission. It picks up after Sakura's resolve to grow stronger and launches the Mizuki Tracking Mission arc, a multi-episode filler storyline centered on escaped prisoners and old grudges. Subsequent episodes continue the pursuit and expand on the threats introduced here.
