Sasuke getting carried on his back by Itachi makes the massacre feel way more messed up and I can see why he is so broken now

Episode Context

Falling deep into the Sasuke Recovery Mission arc, the climactic stretch of the original Naruto series, this episode arrives immediately after Naruto's direct confrontation with Sasuke in 'A Cry on Deaf Ears,' pivoting from action to critical backstory. It provides the emotional foundation needed to understand the escalating brother-to-brother tension, directly setting up the next episode, 'Father and Son, the Broken Crest,' which continues unpacking the Uchiha family tragedy. This is a turning-point episode where motivation outweighs combat.
