You can really tell Sasuke is getting annoyed that they are struggling against these guys after the chunin exams ended

Episode Context

Sitting in the middle of the Land of Tea Escort Mission filler arc, this episode escalates the conflict introduced in Episode 102, where the mission parameters and race stakes were established. The confrontations here build directly toward Episode 104, 'Run Idate Run! Nagi Island Awaits!,' which pushes the race toward its climax. Falling at episode 103 of 220, this arc occupies the stretch between major canon storylines in the original Naruto series.
