Seriously, Shikamaru's whole 'digging two graves' bit gave me chills; I don't think I've ever seen him lay out the consequences so starkly before. It really showed me how he's not just smart, but willing to shoulder the heavy, grim truths that others shy away from, making me wonder how he even lives with that kind of calculated foresight.
