Shikamaru's sheer cunning, using Hidan’s own blood against him, had me absolutely gripped, and I felt such a surge of pride seeing him finally get some closure. My heart ached a little for the lengths he went to, but after Asuma-sensei's death, I just wanted him to succeed in taking Hidan down, no matter what.
