Many zombie like person attacking the village. Excited to know how long they can handle it

sakura having to deal with fuen while yamato fights fudo made the invasion feel really chaotic and desperate for everyone involved

Suddenly seeing that whole clan of reanimated ninja emerge was truly shocking; I definitely wasn't prepared for Naruto to take such a dark turn into horror. My mind immediately went to how terrifying it must be for the living ninja to face their own resurrected comrades, and it felt so much grimmer than anything we'd seen before.

sora hitting three tails and just losing it at the end was wild to see and now he is just running away while naruto tries to stop him

it felt personal to me watching asuma fight his old teammate kitane while that limelight technique threatened the whole village

furido being sora's dad kazuma the whole time and just using his own kid as a weapon is such a scummy move

I still can't get over the fact that Sora has nine tails chakra in him too and it was planted there after the leaf village attack years ago

I know this is filler but Sora being a pseudo-jinchuriki is a crazy concept that actually makes sense with the lore of the fox attack. Seeing him struggle with that dark power while his own father admits to planning the destruction of the leaf village is brutal. The three-tailed form looked scary and I felt bad for him when he left the village

the animation for this filler is actually really decent, especially during the fights with the four guardian ninja trying to blow up the leaf with that lightning jutsu

For a filler episode, I was completely caught off guard by just how crisp the animation looked – seriously, it felt like main arc quality. And those grotesque zombie ninja? They really gave me the shivers, leaving me kind of frustrated that such cool, creepy villains weren't part of a more crucial storyline.

Ugh, that ending with all those reanimated ninja surrounding everyone totally left me hanging, I was so on edge! I mean, the detail they put into those zombie visuals was genuinely creepy, way more than I expected for this arc and it made me really worried about what's gonna happen next.

Seriously, Fuen's traps put Naruto and Sakura in such a surprisingly tight spot, and I didn't see them struggling so much! It just showed me that even with all their training, some unexpected opponents can totally throw them for a loop, which honestly makes me appreciate their resilience even more.

Okay, so usually I'm rolling my eyes at these filler episodes, but man, watching Asuma go up against his old teammates while everyone else was dealing with those creepy zombie ninjas actually had me on the edge of my seat. It's wild how much intensity they brought to this, especially with the Limelight threat making everything feel genuinely dangerous for once, I was actually worried for them.

Sora, seriously, seeing him charge off to confront Furido alone after all the trouble felt like such a punch to my gut. I was just yelling at the screen because, man, how many times does he have to be told to rely on others when the whole village is literally trying to hold back that explosion? It makes me wonder if he'll ever truly trust anyone.

Whoa, those filler fights against Furido's crew actually caught me off guard! I usually skip these, but the animation during those brawls was seriously next-level, making me wonder if they borrowed animators from a feature film for a minute there.

Seeing the four guardian ninjas reduced to mindless puppets genuinely threw me off, like, how much more messed up can things get when even the dead can't rest? I really wonder if this means we'll see more familiar faces brought back this way, but at least the fights with Fudo and the others were still incredibly well-done and kept me on the edge of my seat.

The Limelight jutsu seriously had me on the edge of my seat, like, how could something so devastating appear in a filler arc? My mind was racing thinking about the sheer scale of destruction it could unleash on the Leaf Village, and it genuinely made me forget this wasn't main story canon for a minute there.

I was really struck by how tragic it was to see Asuma go up against Kitane, someone he clearly knew from before; it just made the already intense fight scenes feel even heavier knowing the history there. I can only imagine how awful it must feel to be forced into that kind of battle against an old comrade.

My jaw literally dropped when those Kohaku clan members started clawing their way out of the ground like undead horrors; I'm starting to think Kabuto’s reanimation jutsu isn't just an improvement on Orochimaru’s, but something far more malicious and unsettling. It makes me wonder what other messed-up tricks he’s got up his sleeve.

My jaw genuinely dropped watching those reanimated ninja; their grotesque, unnatural movements were deeply unsettling and truly gave me the creeps in a way few enemies in Naruto ever have. What a contrast, though, because the animation overall was surprisingly fluid and sharp, a welcome change after some of the recent canon episodes felt a little off.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Falling at episode 66 of 500, this filler installment continues a short arc that began with 'Lockdown of Darkness,' where the village's security was breached and a crisis erupted. 'Revived Souls' escalates that conflict, deepening the danger before the next episode, 'Everyone's Struggle to the Death,' pushes the battles to their climax. Viewers tracking only canon material can skip this stretch, but those enjoying the filler arc will find it building momentum effectively toward its conclusion.
