the 4 standing coffins standing with a named of colors. Wondering who are they, and what they can do

I usually skip filler but this arc is actually doing something interesting with the animation and the story. That barrier trapping everyone inside Konoha really sold the danger of the situation, and Sora being so torn about his dad makes his character feel more grounded than the usual one-off filler guys. Seeing the zombie ninja using multiple elements was a nice touch too

The village going dark like that was actually creepy and the zombie ninjas are such a weird addition for filler but it works

Those reanimated ninjas are actually pretty terrifying and the way they just keep coming back makes the whole village lockdown feel like a horror movie

I was shocked when Asuma picked up on Furido being suspicious since the village is basically falling apart right now

Naruto chasing Sora through all that chaos felt like it took forever and the zombie ninja concept is just a budget version of what Orochimaru does

The animation during the village attack is surprisingly solid for an episode that is not even canon to the manga

Konoha being trapped behind a barrier made everything feel so desperate and this is the first time filler has felt this intense

Sora's suffering was brutal to watch, but what really got me was Naruto, still trying to reach him through the destruction, not even hesitating. It makes me think about how he was treated as a kid; he just *gets* that feeling of being an outcast, so of course he'd extend himself, no matter how wild the situation got.

I can't believe how easily those grave robbers managed to mess with the village's defenses, but honestly, what immediately clicked for me was that barrier; it was so unmistakably Orochimaru's style. It just made me wonder if he was pulling the strings, because trapping everyone inside feels like such a typical, sadistic move for him.

The whole vibe just shifted so suddenly when those lights flickered out, and I felt a knot in my stomach as that eerie music kicked in – I really didn't expect this arc to turn so grim so fast. Watching Sora start to lose it with that Nine-Tails chakra, my mind immediately went to Naruto's own struggles with it; I'm genuinely worried about how he'll deal with his own past demons while trying to save Sora. With Naruto and Asuma desperately trying to corner him in that crumbling barrier, I'm just sitting here wondering how on earth they're going to escape that place before it collapses on them all.

I gotta say, Kazuma stooping to using Asuma's old guardian comrades as puppets is just beyond foul. I'm dreading seeing Asuma’s reaction to that, honestly; it's such a twisted way to mess with him, totally preying on his loyalty and respect for the dead.

Sora's struggle with his powers is seriously intense, and I can totally see why he's so freaked out by them. When he just bolted after that scene with Tsunade, it really got to me; he's clearly terrified of the destruction he could cause, just like how he fears becoming like his dad.

My stomach really clenched when the Leaf Village got locked down so suddenly; I couldn't believe how quickly everything spiraled, and it made me feel super worried for all the genin caught up in it. Even though the fight animation was absolutely wild and energetic, my main thought was just hoping Kakashi or Shikamaru would figure something out, because everyone looked so helpless.

Ugh, that Edo Tensei is such a cheap move, like, how are they even supposed to fight when anyone they take down can just get back up again? It just makes all their efforts at the gates feel completely useless, and I'm honestly wondering if there's even a way out of this for them.

When the whole village suddenly went dark and that massive barrier just popped up, I instantly knew this wasn't going to be like any other fight Naruto's had before. It felt way more serious than usual, making me wonder if even he can handle a threat that can just plunge everyone into darkness like that.

When those zombie-like ninja erupted from the ground, it truly caught me off guard; my heart actually pounded as the Leaf Village faced such a grotesque, unexpected invasion. I never imagined a filler could evoke that much genuine dread, making me rethink how vulnerable even powerful villages can be.

Sora must have felt like his whole world just shattered when he realized his own father was the one orchestrating all the attacks on his home. I mean, to have that kind of betrayal from someone who's supposed to protect you? My mind just goes to how devastating that revelation would be for him, totally shaking his trust in everything.

Honestly, I usually just skip through filler, but this one actually grabbed me with how dire the situation in the village felt; the story and art really made me believe everyone was in danger, which is pretty rare for a non-canon episode.

The way this Corpse Soil Jutsu works, pulling up all those bodies, it honestly gave me chills thinking about what Konoha is up against. I can't even imagine the horror of facing friends and loved ones brought back like that, and I'm really starting to question if anyone can truly counter something so twisted.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 65 of 500, this lands squarely in a filler stretch following the Twelve Guardian Ninja arc material. It directly continues from 'The Jet-Black Signal Fire,' where a mysterious lightning storm knocked out the village's power and Sora's confrontation with Asuma escalated tensions, and it leads into 'Revived Souls,' where the attackers' true objectives come into sharper focus. While skippable for canon purists, it functions as the middle chapter of a contained filler mini-arc centered on an invasion of the Leaf Village.
