The pacing in these dream episodes is a mess and seeing Naruto use Sage Mode out of nowhere is confusing

Neji fighting Anko was the coolest part of the episode and the choreography during their short exchange was better than I expected for a dream world filler

Seeing Sasuke and Naruto collide is always cool but it is hard to get hyped when the writing feels so hollow

Sasuke getting the curse mark and immediately mastering it felt so cheap because he did not even have to work for it like in the actual story

I am actually fuming that they let Itachi go out like that since he just turned into a ghost and vanished after getting hit by Sasuke

Even though it is filler, the way Naruto and Sasuke clashed still had some weight to it. I just wish the studio would get back to the actual manga content soon

I cannot believe how long this Jiraiya Ninja Scrolls arc is dragging on and it makes the real plot feel like a distant memory at this point. Seeing Sasuke awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan just because Itachi died in a dream is so cheap and Naruto suddenly having Sage Mode feels like they are just rushing through the best parts of the series

It feels like we have been stuck in this filler loop for years and I am just waiting for the Pain arc to start up again

That fight between Naruto and Sasuke was okay but seeing them get massive power ups in two seconds is just lazy writing

This whole episode felt like a speedrun of the actual show and it is hard to care about the stakes when none of it is canon

I hated how fast they rushed Sasuke through his trauma just to give him the Sharingan, because it feels like a total insult to the original emotional buildup

Watching Sasuke get the Mangekyo Sharingan this fast felt so weird and unearned compared to the real story

Itachi falling so swiftly genuinely caught me off guard, I was expecting a much more drawn-out struggle for him before that ending. But then for Sasuke to just immediately awaken his Mangekyo Sharingan, after all the torment he's been through trying to get stronger, it felt like such a sudden and almost unearned leap in power for my boy.

Itachi's defeat felt so abrupt after all the years of build-up, didn't it? I was honestly pretty confused by how fast Sasuke just left the village and then immediately took him down; it almost felt like Itachi's immense sacrifice was glossed over, and I was left wanting a much more drawn-out, meaningful confrontation for them both.

My brain was really struggling to keep up with that final fight, even with the surprisingly good animation for a filler, because Sasuke's victory felt totally out of nowhere. I just couldn't shake the feeling that they sacrificed all logic just to make him look cool, and it honestly left me feeling pretty disconnected from the whole thing.

Ugh, this filler arc has been such a drag, but I gotta admit, I'm genuinely curious how they're gonna make Pain's attack on the village work with Minato still as Hokage and Naruto already in Sage Mode. It just throws the whole canon invasion completely out the window, and my brain is trying to reconcile it even if this episode felt super rushed.

Wait, Minato's alive during the Sasuke search? That really threw me for a loop and felt so jarring, like they crammed a season's worth of plot into twenty minutes. Now I'm seriously wondering how they're going to give the Pain arc the weight it deserves after this kind of speedrun; it makes me genuinely anxious for what's next.

Ugh, seeing Naruto get clapped by Sasuke while in freaking Sage Mode really got on my nerves, like, how is that even possible given how powerful we know that form usually is? It just makes me question the entire power balance in this dream world; it feels totally off and kinda cheapens Sage Mode's strength.

When Sasuke just effortlessly unleashed the curse mark, a part of me felt really let down. After everything he went through just to get a taste of that power before, my head was spinning trying to reconcile his past agony with this sudden, easy mastery.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 446 of 500, 'Collision' is firmly within one of Shippuden's late-run filler arcs, following 'Pursuers' where protagonists chased down a defector, and now those pursuits reach a critical flashpoint. This episode bridges directly into 'Another Moon,' transitioning the anime-original storyline toward deeper explorations of character motivations and consequences. Viewers focused solely on canon material can skip this stretch, but those invested in the filler arc will find it serves as the arc's pivotal confrontation episode.
