The red aura and the way Guy is literally breaking his own bones just to land a hit on Madara is so brutal

That transition from Guy almost dying to Naruto talking to a floating old man was way too fast and kind of ruined the mood

Episode Context

Coming directly off the emotional backstory in 'Papa's Youth,' which explored Guy's formative relationship with his father and the origins of his fighting philosophy, Episode 420 translates that foundation into the climactic battlefield payoff fans have been waiting for. This canon episode sits deep in the Fourth Great Ninja War arc and represents one of its most pivotal combat sequences. It leads directly into 'The Sage of the Six Paths,' shifting focus toward major lore revelations and Naruto's own destiny.
