That transition from Guy almost dying to Naruto talking to a floating old man was way too fast and kind of ruined the mood

The red aura and the way Guy is literally breaking his own bones just to land a hit on Madara is so brutal

Madara getting pinned into a hole by Guy was the most satisfying moment in the whole war so far and the animation was insane

I was cheering so hard when Guy hit that first step of the evening elephant and Madara actually felt that impact through his guard

Hagoromo talking about his sons and destiny while the world is literally ending feels a bit weird but the history is pretty cool

Episode 420 and Guy is literally covered in red fire while he beats the life out of Madara with that evening elephant move

I can't believe we're seeing the eighth gate after all these years, and Guy is really going out like a legend against Madara.

Guy finally opens the death gate and it is absolute carnage because Madara was actually looking scared for once

Guy really went all out with the Eighth Gate, and I was just floored by how incredible that fight with Madara looked; it completely delivered on all the buildup since the Chunin Exams. But seriously, why did they have to drop that massive Sage of Six Paths lore bomb right when the action was peaking? It totally took me out of the moment, which was super annoying after all that epicness.

Madara just laughing off being kicked *through solid rock* by Guy seriously got to me; the arrogance of that guy is unbelievable. A wave of both pride and fear instantly washed over me as Guy literally bled red steam, knowing he was throwing everything he had, every bit of his life force, into fighting an opponent who seemed completely unkillable.

When Guy unleashed that Evening Elephant, my jaw practically hit the floor – I couldn't believe how much raw power he was putting out. It made me wonder what kind of resolve drives someone to push their body to such destructive limits, knowing the cost.

I was absolutely floored seeing the Eighth Gate finally unleashed; it blew past all my expectations, especially after that flashback with Might Duy which really made me understand the depth of Guy's commitment. Watching him throw everything he had at Madara, a literal god, with just his fists was just so incredibly inspiring, and it felt like the ultimate culmination of all his hard work.

I honestly can't get over how Guy sensei, who's usually so goofy, literally became the strongest guy out there just to keep everyone safe, especially his students and the Leaf Village. It just makes me remember all the times he's been there for Lee, and this felt like the ultimate expression of his devotion.

Guy going full Night Guy against Madara was absolutely insane, and I felt this gut punch seeing him transform into that red dragon, knowing he was ready to give literally everything just to stop him. It made me wonder what it must feel like to have that level of unwavering determination, knowing the end was so close.

My chest tightened watching Guy give his all, especially after that glimpse of his dad's ultimate sacrifice; I just can't imagine him truly being out of commission after showing such a burning will, it feels wrong. I'm holding out hope that this isn't the absolute end for him, because someone with that much spirit just *has* to find a way back, doesn't he?

I was seriously in shock watching Guy go all out, finally making Madara admit that no one else was on his level with taijutsu. It was so satisfying seeing Guy push him like that, especially after seeing how untouchable Madara has been against everyone else.

I seriously couldn't believe my eyes when the air was literally warping around Guy's kicks; that Eighth Gate power is just insane. Even Madara looked genuinely scared for a second, which totally caught me off guard since he's always seemed invincible.

Guy Sensei unleashing those Evening Elephant punches had me on the edge of my seat, truly; I just couldn't believe he was pushing himself to such extremes, knowing it was basically a death sentence. Watching Lee's breakdown solidified that gut-wrenching feeling, as I imagined his fear of losing the one person who truly believed in him, a fear that felt so palpable.

When Guy decided to open that final gate, my heart absolutely broke for Lee, who was just watching his hero potentially sacrifice himself; but then seeing his dad's flashbacks, I finally understood it was a choice Guy had to make for his own legacy. It wasn't just about saving everyone anymore, it was about proving he could be as great as his old man.

I totally got choked up seeing Guy look back at Kakashi and Lee, almost like a final farewell, but then watching him absolutely humble Madara with those insane air kicks had me cheering despite the dread. It was such a mixed bag of emotions, my heart aching for him while also feeling so proud that he pushed himself so hard against such an impossible enemy.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the emotional backstory in 'Papa's Youth,' which explored Guy's formative relationship with his father and the origins of his fighting philosophy, Episode 420 translates that foundation into the climactic battlefield payoff fans have been waiting for. This canon episode sits deep in the Fourth Great Ninja War arc and represents one of its most pivotal combat sequences. It leads directly into 'The Sage of the Six Paths,' shifting focus toward major lore revelations and Naruto's own destiny.
