Madara's turn was just so heartbreaking, watching him get so close to the Leaf Village dream with Hashirama only for that awful stone tablet to completely derail everything. I just can't shake the feeling that he *chose* to believe the worst, even if it meant destroying everything they built. It makes me wonder if he ever truly saw Hashirama as an equal, or if the Uchiha-Senju rivalry was always too deep for him to overcome.
