EPISODE REVIEWS

I can't get over how much I hate Danzo after he jumped Shisui and snatched his eye like that because Shisui was actually trying to stop the war and keep everyone safe

Episode Context

This episode continues the 'Kakashi: Shadow of the ANBU Black Ops' filler arc, directly following 'An Uchiha ANBU,' which established Itachi's conflicted position within the ANBU ranks and the growing friction between the village and his clan. 'Coup d'État' escalates those tensions to a near-breaking point, serving as the penultimate setup before 'The Night of the Tragedy,' where the arc's political powder keg finally detonates. It's a critical bridge episode that transforms simmering distrust into something irreversible.
