Guy's backstory with his previous student really hit me with the weight of responsibility he carries, and it makes so much sense why he's fiercely protective of Lee. I never fully connected the dots before, but now I feel like he's desperately trying to rewrite that painful history and ensure Lee gets the future his other student couldn't.
