The animation in this filler episode seriously blew my mind; I mean, it looked better than some of the *actual* war battles, and I just can't shake the feeling that a different team must have worked on it or something. It's such a bummer that it isn't canon, because seeing the whole old squad back together feels so right, making me wish this version of events was the real deal.
