I thought it was pretty neat to see Kurotsuchi actually visiting Deidara in his cell, it's just such a shame that this whole flashback feels so disconnected from the main story, making their chat feel kinda pointless. It's like, why even bother building up this cool idea if it doesn't lead anywhere?
