The crew is literally starving on a boat with no wind and then Naruto brings on glowing fungus that eats all their supplies and it is so absurd that you just have to laugh

I lost it when Naruto and Guy were hallucinating after eating those mushrooms and the way Guy keeps screaming about being stuck on this boat forever perfectly matches my mood after this many filler episodes

Guy screaming into the void about more filler is easily the highlight of this boat trip and seeing him get poisoned by mushrooms just made his misery even more hilarious to watch

Guy yelling about the filler is the only thing that kept me going through this arc because the boat stuff feels like it is never going to end and then they actually ate the poison mushrooms

Watching Yamato get drained by giant mushrooms because Naruto has zero common sense was the weirdest thing in this whole arc and it felt like a fever dream when they started fighting

I think the writers were losing it when they came up with glowing mushrooms and Naruto just buying them because he is that dim and it was so funny when he and Guy started fighting over nothing

The Sea Route of Silence is a creepy setting for a comedy, but seeing Naruto and Guy get poisoned and go crazy on each other made the whole weird mushroom infestation worth the watch.

You have to wonder how Naruto survived this long after he bought glowing mushrooms from a random guy and now they are eating the ship and draining Yamato of his chakra while everyone is starving

I was honestly so ready for the war action, but instead I got Naruto and Guy tripping out on those mushroom clones, which just felt like a weird fever dream to me. This whole detour has me thinking they're just giving us a random breather before things *really* hit the fan in the actual war, and I'm kinda torn between wanting to laugh and just wanting to fast-forward.

Seriously, what were they thinking dedicating an entire episode to Naruto and Guy squabbling over *moldy* mushrooms when the war is literally right there? It honestly just made me roll my eyes, especially since I remember fillers like the curry of life saga actually being pretty entertaining, unlike this.

I seriously can't believe they went with a fungus making Guy lose it; it just felt so out of left field for a Naruto episode, like the writers were just throwing darts at a board for plot ideas that day. I mean, after everything they've been through, *this* is what makes him act completely bonkers?

Guy and Naruto finally snapping out of their mushroom-induced craziness was such a relief; I was genuinely starting to wonder if they'd ever return to their usual selves. Sending that poor merchant packing with nothing but those bizarre, nasty fungi felt like the perfectly petty, slightly gross end this whole weird situation deserved, and it made me laugh.

Ugh, those mushrooms popping up all over Naruto's skin totally gave me the creeps, like seriously, I almost had to look away. It's so obvious they're just killing time with these random merchant baddies, which honestly kinda frustrates me when I'm trying to follow the main story.

I can't even believe they made a whole episode about Naruto tripping on some weird mushrooms and fighting Guy, like, seriously? My patience for this boat trip filler is completely gone now, especially after those fungus clones showed up and just prolonged the whole thing.

What in the world was that mushroom sequence with Naruto and Guy? I'm honestly so confused about how we even got here, and part of me is just wondering if this boat journey is ever going to end so we can finally get back to the actual war.

Okay, so I actually found that mushroom harem jutsu pretty hilarious, but then seeing Naruto and Guy literally turn into mushrooms? That just took it to a whole new level of bizarre that I totally wasn't ready for, haha.

I honestly couldn't wrap my head around the mushroom zombies growing from Guy and Naruto; it felt so incredibly random and pointless right in the middle of such a crucial war. I just kept asking myself why they thought that was a good idea, especially when everything felt so intense.

Seriously, I was so confused watching this episode, like why are they still stuck on this boat and what even was that whole thing with Naruto and Guy fighting over some weird mushrooms? It felt like a total filler fever dream, and honestly, I just wanted to skip it to get back to the actual storyline because this was just so out there.

Ugh, watching Guy and Naruto totally lose it over those mushrooms was just so annoying, and honestly, I'm just ready for this whole filler arc to wrap up already. I can't believe they're still dragging this out when the actual war is waiting!

Naruto and Guy, seriously? I was so baffled seeing those two legendary ninja squabbling over rotten food on this never-ending boat trip; it makes me wonder if the writers are trying to lull us into a false sense of security before something major drops. My patience is wearing thin with this whole detour, especially knowing the real stakes awaiting them.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 229 of 500, this falls squarely in the extended filler block following the Five Kage Summit arc and before the Fourth Great Ninja War kicks into gear. It follows episode 228's focus on Rock Lee's training determination and leads into episode 230's 'Revenge of the Shadow Clones,' continuing this stretch of standalone seafaring adventures that have zero impact on the main storyline.
