The training trip scenes made me miss Jiraiya so much and the part where he shows Naruto how to break a genjutsu was great

Another filler episode right when things were getting good is kind of annoying but seeing the rain village again and Jiraiya being a great mentor helps it go down easier

Naruto and Jiraiya's trek through the Hidden Rain, dealing with those rebels, felt like such a crucial piece of their training journey that I'm kind of bummed we didn't get more moments like this back in the original series. It really makes me wonder how much more developed Naruto's skills would've been if we'd seen more of their travels together.
