The way Jiraiya’s final message came across felt so eerie, yet it was also incredibly poignant that only Naruto, his last student, could decipher his notoriously messy script to unlock the true meaning. I couldn't help but feel a pang for Naruto, carrying that heavy responsibility while trying to understand Pervy Sage's last words.

I almost forgot how much I missed seeing Kakashi get totally flustered while reading those dirty books in front of everyone

Episode Context

Coming directly off the devastating emotional fallout of Jiraiya's death, episode 154 channels that grief into forward momentum by centering on his final encoded message. It serves as a critical connective episode between the mourning phase and Naruto's next major evolution, laying the groundwork for his pursuit of Sage Jutsu training. This is canon material that transitions the narrative from loss into preparation for one of Shippuden's most significant power-up arcs.
